1. Event Tickets

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable, except in the following cases:

• Event cancelled by the Organizer: you will receive a full refund of the ticket price. Nairatix's service fee may or may not be refunded, at Nairatix's discretion, since it covers processing already performed.
• Event postponed: your ticket remains valid for the new date. If you can't attend the new date, you may request a refund within 7 days of the postponement announcement.
• Event materially changed (e.g., venue moved significantly, headline act cancelled): you may request a refund within 7 days of the change being announced.

Refunds are not available simply because you change your mind, can no longer attend, or purchased the wrong ticket type. Please check event details carefully before buying. Organizers, not Nairatix, are responsible for the conduct and delivery of their events; Nairatix facilitates refunds in the cancellation/postponement scenarios above but is not liable for an Organizer's failure to deliver an event as described.

2. NairatixTV Pay-Per-View Rentals

Because a rental grants immediate access to stream a title for 24 hours, purchases are non-refundable once the rental period has started, that is, once you've pressed play or the 24-hour window has begun.

Exceptions where a refund or replacement access may be issued:

• A verified technical failure on Nairatix's platform prevented you from watching the title at all during your rental window (report this within 3 days of purchase).
• You were charged for a title but did not receive access due to a payment or system error.

Refunds are not available because you ran out of time to finish watching, changed your mind about the content, or didn't enjoy the title.

3. Live Show Tickets

Live show tickets follow the same rules as Section 1 (Event Tickets): non-refundable except where Nairatix or the Organizer cancels the show, or a verified technical failure prevented you from accessing the ticketed live stream on Nairatix (report within 7 days of the show). Issues with a third-party simulcast platform (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, etc.) are that platform's responsibility, not Nairatix's, since your paid access is to the Nairatix stream.

4. How to Request a Refund

Contact support@nairatix.com or call +234 703 059 8492 with your order/transaction reference, the event or title name, and a description of the issue. We aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Flutterwave and may take 3 to 5 business days to reflect, depending on your bank.

5. Chargebacks

Please contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Most issues can be resolved faster directly. Fraudulent or abusive chargeback claims may result in account suspension.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent version.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, password (stored in hashed/encrypted form), and role (subscriber, organizer, or creator).
• Verification data: the one-time codes (OTP) sent to your email during sign-up and sign-in, and related timestamps.
• Transaction data: event tickets purchased, NairatixTV titles rented, live show tickets purchased, amounts paid, and payment references. Card and bank details themselves are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Flutterwave. Nairatix does not store your full card number, CVV, or bank login credentials.
• Usage data: pages viewed, titles watched or rented, watch/continue-watching progress, search queries, device type, browser, IP address, and approximate location (derived from IP).
• Content you submit: if you are an Organizer or Creator, the events, movies, skits, descriptions, images, and other material you upload, plus your bank account details for monthly payouts.
• Communications: messages you send to support, and records of correspondence.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

• create and manage your account;
• verify your identity via OTP;
• process ticket and rental purchases and route payments through Flutterwave;
• deliver e-tickets (including QR codes) and unlock rented content for its 24-hour window;
• operate live, ticketed streaming (including any simulcast to third-party platforms you choose to watch on, where applicable);
• calculate and pay creator/organizer revenue shares;
• personalize what's shown to you (trending events, recommended titles);
• send transactional emails (OTP codes, receipts, ticket confirmations, payout notices) and, where you've agreed, marketing updates;
• detect fraud, abuse, and policy violations; and
• comply with legal obligations, including tax and financial recordkeeping.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data based on:

• performance of a contract (fulfilling ticket/rental purchases, running your account);
• your consent (e.g., marketing emails, optional cookies);
• our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, service improvement, security); and
• compliance with legal obligations (tax, financial, and consumer protection law).

4. Sharing of Information

We share information with:

• Flutterwave, to process payments for tickets, rentals, and live show access.
• Email delivery providers, to send OTP codes, receipts, and notifications.
• YouTube (Google), where content is ingested from partner YouTube channels into NairatixTV's free catalog, and where our YouTube Data API integration operates.
• Live-streaming/multistream providers, to simulcast ticketed live shows to platforms such as YouTube Live, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or Twitch, where a show is configured to do so.
• Event organizers, who receive the attendee list (name, ticket type, check-in status) for events you buy tickets to, so they can manage entry.
• Creators, who receive aggregate, non-identifying sales figures for their own titles, not individual viewer identities.
• Regulators, tax authorities, or law enforcement, where legally required.
• Service providers who help us run the Platform (hosting, analytics, customer support tools), under confidentiality obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Platform uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, remembering preferences, measuring usage, and displaying ad banners. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to manage your preferences.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations (typically at least 6 years for financial records under Nigerian law). OTP codes are short-lived and deleted or invalidated shortly after use or expiry. You may request deletion of your account as described in Section 9, subject to records we're legally required to keep.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls) to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and keep your login details confidential.

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• correct inaccurate data;
• request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements);
• object to or restrict certain processing;
• withdraw consent for optional processing (e.g., marketing) at any time; and
• lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) or another relevant authority.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed at children. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account, make a purchase, or upload content. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us so we can remove it.

10. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, YouTube/Google, multistream partners) may process data outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection consistent with NDPA requirements.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on the Platform or sent to your registered email. Continued use of the Platform after an update means you accept the revised policy.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Sign-up requires a valid email address; we send a one-time code (OTP) to confirm it before your account is created. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@nairatix.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

2. Roles on the Platform

• Subscriber: browses and buys event tickets and NairatixTV rentals.
• Organizer: applies via "Join Us," and once approved by Staff or a Super Admin, may list and sell tickets to events.
• Creator: applies via "Join Us," and once approved, may upload movies/skits for pay-per-view rental.
• Staff / Super Admin: internal roles responsible for platform operations, moderation, and approvals.

Approval of an Organizer or Creator application is at Nairatix's discretion and may be revoked for breach of these Terms.

3. Event Ticketing

Nairatix acts as a ticketing marketplace connecting Organizers with attendees. Organizers are solely responsible for the events they list, accuracy of details, delivering the event as described, venue safety, and compliance with applicable laws and licensing. Tickets are issued as a QR code by email and in your account, and are required for entry. Purchasing a ticket creates a contract between you and the Organizer for that event; Nairatix facilitates the transaction and payment but is not the event organizer unless expressly stated. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund Policy.

4. NairatixTV and Pay-Per-View Rentals

Each NairatixTV title is offered for a one-time payment that grants a personal, non-transferable license to stream that title for 24 hours from the time of purchase. This is a rental, not a purchase of a copy; you may not download, record, redistribute, publicly exhibit, or otherwise copy the content. Access automatically expires at the end of the 24-hour window; re-purchase is required for further viewing. Some content on NairatixTV is ingested automatically from third-party YouTube channels under YouTube's own terms and is provided free to watch; this content remains the property of its original creators/channels and Nairatix claims no ownership over it.

5. Live Streaming

Live shows on Nairatix are ticketed/pay-per-view only; there is no free live access on the Platform itself. A live broadcast may be simulcast by Nairatix or the Organizer to third-party platforms (e.g., YouTube Live, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitch); where that happens, your access to and use of those third-party feeds is governed by that platform's own terms, not this document. You may not re-stream, rebroadcast, or publicly redistribute any live show accessed through Nairatix.

6. Creator and Organizer Revenue Share

For NairatixTV titles uploaded by Creators, Nairatix retains 20% and pays the Creator 80% of gross pay-per-view revenue generated by that title, calculated before tax. Payouts are made by bank transfer once per month, covering the prior month's accrued balance, to the bank account the Creator has provided. Creators and Organizers are responsible for their own tax obligations on income earned through the Platform. Nairatix may withhold or delay a payout to investigate suspected fraud, chargebacks, or a breach of these Terms.

7. Content Standards and Your Content

By uploading an event listing, movie, skit, image, or other material ("Your Content"), you represent that you own it or have all necessary rights and licenses to submit it, and that it does not infringe any third party's rights. You retain ownership of Your Content but grant Nairatix a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, stream, promote, and display it on the Platform (and, for live shows, to simulcast it as described in Section 5) for as long as it remains listed.

Prohibited content includes anything unlawful, defamatory, obscene beyond what Nairatix's content guidelines permit, infringing, or that promotes violence, hate, or fraud. Nairatix may remove content or suspend an account that violates these standards, and will respond to valid takedown notices from rights holders.

8. Payments

All payments are processed through Flutterwave. By making a purchase, you authorize the charge to your chosen payment method. Prices are shown in Nigerian naira (NGN) and may include applicable fees, shown before checkout. Nairatix is not responsible for delays or failures caused by your bank, card issuer, or Flutterwave itself, though we'll help resolve payment issues where we can.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• use the Platform for any unlawful purpose;
• attempt to bypass payment, rental windows, or access controls;
• scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Platform's operation;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with an event or content; or
• use another person's payment method without authorization.

10. Intellectual Property

Except for Your Content and third-party YouTube-sourced content, the Platform's design, branding, software, and original content are owned by Nairatix or its licensors and may not be copied or used without permission.

11. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is." Nairatix does not guarantee that events will proceed as scheduled, that streams will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that third-party simulcast platforms will function without issue. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nairatix disclaims all implied warranties.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nairatix's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Platform is limited to the amount you paid for the specific ticket, rental, or transaction giving rise to the claim. Nairatix is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss arising from an Organizer's cancellation of an event or a Creator's content being unavailable.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, engaging in fraud, or misusing the Platform. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@nairatix.com, subject to completing any pending transactions or payout obligations.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date, and material changes will be flagged on the Platform or emailed to you. Continuing to use the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
